The objectives of the project include:
- the development of an easy-to-read training guide for service providers that will provide theoretical frameworks for effective intervention
- suggestions for promising practices for service delivery of smoking cessation / reduction strategies to FASD-affected women who smoke, based on relational approaches and other evidence-based practices for this group of women with special needs
- the development of a French adaptation of the training guide
- dissemination of hard copies of the training guide across Ontario to CAPC/CPNP projects, addiction service providers, Early Years programs, Healthy Babies Healthy Children programs, and others as determined over the course of the project
- pdf versions of the training guide available for download from the websites of AWARE and Mothercraft
- suggestions for the most effective ways to adapt the training guide for use within First Nations communities
- evaluation of the training guide and a final report of the project, available as downloads from the websites of AWARE and Mothercraft
