The objectives of the project included:
- the development of an easy-to-read training guide for service providers that provides theoretical frameworks for effective intervention
- suggestions for promising practices for service delivery of smoking cessation / reduction strategies for women smokers who may be FASD affected, based on relational approaches and other evidence-based practices for this group of women (such as motivational counselling and harm reduction strategies)
- the development of a French adaptation of the training guide
- dissemination of hard copies of the training guide across Ontario to CAPC/CPNP projects, addiction service providers, Early Years programs, Healthy Babies Healthy Children programs, and others who find its content useful
- pdf versions of the training guide available for download from the AWARE website
- a final report of the project, available for download from the AWARE website
